Halloween is a Sweet Time to Share the Gospel
This time of year is one of my favorites, because it is the beginning of gatherings filled with family and friends. I am an extrovert, so forgive me if the thought of back-to-back holiday festivities conjures more dread than glee in your heart.
Speaking of dread. The mention of Halloween in Christian circles elicits a varied response, and it is often a subject of hot debate.

God's Algorithm Prevails
Friend, when we lay anything down at the feet of Jesus, He will take it and multiply it however He sees fit in His time. Maybe we won't see the fruition of our multiplication on this side of heaven, but when we work for the audience of One, He makes sure the one who needs it most gets it.

Moments of Hard-Fought Worship
Have you ever fought to worship and acknowledge God is good, even when life didn't feel so good? I know you have—more times than you can probably recall.
You may have sung a couple of verses over a sink of sudsy water after a long day of work. I know you've given thanks for something small and trivial, like a hot cup of coffee, while grieving.
He takes note of every time you honor and glorify Him, especially the hard-fought moments when no one is watching. He sees you pus

He is a Good, Good Father
I stared at the box of tissues in my lap, then confessed how heartbreaking this season was. I felt like a burden and a disappointment to my family and friends. I thought I was letting everyone down, especially God, because I couldn't fix myself. I couldn't just snap my fingers and make the depression disappear. My faith and prayer were obviously not enough to win the battle in my mind, so I deemed myself not faithful enough.

Holding on to Hope: The Best is Yet to Come
Apparently, it is expected, even for Christian women, to wish for a time when things
were easier and looked more like the plans we had for our lives. However, staying in
this mindset for too long is unhealthy and unproductive. We must do the hard work of
adjusting and moving forward as we grieve the passing of a good season while holding on to the hope that the best is yet to come.

Bold Obedience
The only problem with including the Lord in the decision-making process is when He doesn't choose the preplanned decision we already assumed would be the best way. The pesky white-knuckle control issue many of us deal with can rear its ugly head. It also provides the perfect storm for doubt to have a field day in our brains.
